Privacy Matters
This is the privacy statement of Blissmeister, the company that offers Effective Meditation and Effective Planning. We value privacy because meditation and time manageging are personal matters. In this privacy statement, we explain how we process personal data, categorized by different processing activities.
We operate in accordance with the privacy laws and regulations applicable in the Netherlands and the European Union, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As such, we maintain a privacy administration and keep a record of our processing activities.
Scope of This Statement
Our privacy statement applies to:
- our customers and all individuals we have had contact with;
- all visitors to our websites;
- all recipients of our newsletter and other mailings;
- all individuals whose personal data we process in any other way.
Visiting Our Website
When visiting our website, a number of cookies are used. The legal basis for using these cookies is the necessity for our legitimate interest in analyzing and improving the website. By choosing the most privacy-friendly settings, we do not require visitor consent.
We generally do not share personal data with third parties, unless required to comply with an official order or legal obligation, such as in the investigation of criminal offenses.
Our website also contains hyperlinks to other parties’ websites, over which we have no control. This includes embedded content such as videos, images, articles, etc. This embedded content behaves as if the visitor is visiting the other website directly. These external websites may collect your data, use cookies, or employ trackers to monitor your online behavior.
Cookies on Our Website
We use a few cookies for website statistics via Matomo Analytics. This allows us to track visitors and their interactions with our website. Any collected data is processed solely within the context of our own website in the Netherlands. We do not share analytics data with Google or other parties. This solution also respects browser “do-not-track” requests, meaning visits are not measured in such cases.
Visitors can also opt out of Matomo Analytics via the following link:
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
Newsletter
When you receive a newsletter from us, we only process your name and email address. The purpose is to inform you about our services and related topics. We have a suitable data processing agreement with our newsletter provider, Laposta B.V.
The legal basis for sending newsletters is our legitimate interest in informing recipients about news related to our services, meditation, and lifestyle. Recipients can always easily unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Your personal data will be processed as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will process your data to ensure you do not receive further newsletters.
Participation in Our Activities
From our clients, we process name and address details, other contact information, payment data, identification data, and other personal data entrusted to us by or about participants. We do this as the data controller, since we determine the purpose and means of processing. Business clients therefore do not need to enter into a separate data processing agreement with us.
The legal basis for this processing is the necessity for the performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in processing personal data in the context of delivering our services.
Safeguards and Retention Periods
With our processors – such as providers of telephony, email systems, accounting, and invoicing systems – we have entered into appropriate data processing agreements where necessary.
We retain the data entrusted to us in the context of our services for only three (3) months, after which it is deleted. This period is extended to twenty (20) years only in cases where our liability is in question. Administrative data is retained for seven (7) years to comply with legal obligations.
Rights of Data Subjects
You are a data subject when we process your personal data. Data subjects have the right, when we are the controller, to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, or to restrict its processing. Data subjects also have the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. These rights are not always absolute, as privacy laws also impose limitations.
